Paulina Flores (1988, Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean writer. She studied Literature at Chile’s National University. In 2014, she won the Roberto Bolaño Short Story Prize for ‘Qué vergüenza’. A few months later she also received the Arts Critics Circle Literature Prize for best novel author. In 2015, the publishing house Hueders published Paulina’s complete story collection. She discovered her writing talent during a workshop with Alejandro Zambra, now one of the most influential Latin-American writers. Paulina’s sources of inspiration are William Faulkner, Virginia Woolf and Alice Munro. Besides writing novels and columns, Paulina is also a feminist and high school teacher. Currently she is working on her next book, a novel that will be published in 2018.
