James Rice (Liverpool) is a 27 year old British author who published his debut Alice and the Fly at publisher Hoddor & Stoughton at the beginning of this year. He started writing at an early age: his father would read the stories young James wrote at primary school. Rice studied Creative Writing at John Moores University in Liverpool and during his MA in 2010 he won Writing on the Wall’s Pulp Idol with the first chapter of Alice and the Fly. Rice also works at Waterstones in Southport.
