
Cornelia Travnicek (1987, St. Pölten), was born and raised in Austria and still lives there today. She studied Sinology and Information Science at the University of Vienna and has a part-time job as a researcher in a center for virtual reality and visualization. Her writing has won several awards: for her first novel Chucks she received the Anerkennungspreis des Landes Niederösterreich and the Kranichsteiner Jugendliteratur-Stipendium of the German Foundation of Literature. Moreover, Chucks was turned into a film (Dor Film, 2015). Travnicek also published a few collections of short stories and various texts in newspapers and magazines. Recently , her first collection of poems was published, Parablüh. Her texts have been translated into eight languages.
