Jana Fawaz Elhassan (1985, Lebanon) was shortlisted in 2013 for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction with her second novel Ana, hiyya wa al-akhiriyat (Me, her and the other women). In 2015 she was shortlisted again with her third novel Tabiq 99 (The Ninety-ninth floor). Besides writing noteworthy fiction, she is also a journalist and translator.
