Sarah Braunstein is a fiction writer who wrote her debut novel, The Sweet Relief of Missing Children, in 2011 (W. W. Norton; paperback in 2012; Italian translation in 2012). The year after publication the novel won the Maine Literary Award and was a finalist for the Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize from the Center for Fiction. In 2010 the National Book Foundation named her one of “5 under 35” fiction writers. Apart from the wonderful short story All You Have to Do, that was published in The New Yorker, her stories also appeared in numerous other magazines. Sarah is based in Portland, Maine and has taught at Harvard University Extension School, and Stanford University Online Writer’s Studio.
