After a couple of unhappy love affairs, a young Swedish woman decides to run away from the life she knows, embarking on a trip throughout Europe and Thailand, trying to escape (or maybe find) herself and the ghosts of her past. In loosely strung and sometimes hallucinatoric fragments she reports on her wanderings and excessive use of alcohol and drugs. She takes the reader along in her fickle, narcissistic and poetic train of thought, hovering between self-hate and self-love, waiting for a literary masterpiece that will never come and someone who will rescue her from herself – or doesn’t she?
