Canadian writer Eliza Robertson (°1987) grew up on Vancouver Island and moved to England during her studies, where she landed the Man Booker Scholarship and the Curtis Brown Prize for Best Writer. In 2013 she added the Commonwealth Short Story to her list. Moreover, she was one of the finalists of the Journey Prize and the CBC Short Story Prize. Her debut with short stories, Wallflowers, selected as New York Times Editor’s Choice, was published in 2015 and was immediately shortlisted for several awards. That same year, the renowned author Joseph Boyden named her for the Writer’s Trust x Five Programme. Meanwhile she happily carries on writing. Her second book, Demi-Gods, will be disclosed by the end of 2017.
